Nicosia & Co were born in 1972 and quite unusual for the Italian panorama of those years.

The band featured 12 members, including many wind instruments plus strongly orchestral arrangements and therefore the sound approach is closer to American names such as Blood, Sweat and Tears or the Chicago.

The naivety typical of the time is lacking and the record is surprising in its compactness and professionalism, it’s a rewarding listen even nowadays.

I Nicosia & Co. sono nati nel 1972 e sono una band abbastanza inusuale per il panorama italiano di quegli anni.

Nel gruppo figuravano ben 12 elementi, tra cui molti fiati, e grazie anche agli arrangiamenti fortemente orchestrali l’approccio sonoro è più vicino a nomi americani come Blood, Sweat and Tears o i primi Chicago.

Mancano le ingenuità tipiche dell’epoca e il disco è sorprendente nella sua compattezza e professionalità, non per nulla si riascolta con molto piacere anche ai giorni nostri.
